911 Enable’s Emergency Gateway Now Lync Certified!

February 28, 2012

EGW911 Enable’s Emergency Gateway (EGW) appliance has successfully completed interoperability testing with Microsoft Lync. It works with Lync’s inherent E911 capabilities to meet the needs of organizations with certain specific E911 requirements. First, the EGW provides interoperability with the local exchange carrier (LEC) legacy E911 call routing solution. Second, for organizations with Lync deployed alongside other IP phone systems (e.g. Cisco, Avaya), the EGW acts as a Secondary Location Information Server to centralize E911 management in a multi-vendor environment.

To learn more about the certification of the EGW with Lync, you can view the press release here. For more information on how 911 Enable’s solutions provide support for Lync, a solution brief is available for download here.
