New Resource: Partner Case Study – IPC Technologies and The College of William and Mary

February 21, 2012

IPC Technologies Partner Case StudyEnsuring the safety of students, faculty, and staff is a primary concern for higher education organizations, especially on large campuses where it can be difficult to pinpoint the location of an emergency caller when 911 is dialed. This can become even more challenging when campuses move to IP telephony to take advantage of advanced calling features and cost savings. Fortunately, reliable and cost-effective solutions are available to help higher education organizations address these challenges head-on, in a simple and elegant manner.

911 Enable has just released a Partner Case Study which details how we collaborated with IPC Technologies to deliver an E911 solution for the legacy and ShoreTel IP phone systems at The College of William and Mary. This Partner Case Study explains why IPC Technologies picked 911 Enable for this deployment, and how 911 Enable’s advanced solutions met or exceeded the requirements of The College of William and Mary. New Partner Case Study – GTRI

July 13, 2011

911 Enable often partners with VoIP/UC resellers to help them meet their customers’ E911 needs.

One of these resellers is GTRI (Global Technology Resources, Inc.), a leading network consulting firm that provides solutions for data centers, unified communications, wireless/mobility and more. GTRI works closely with their customers to help them reach their business goals, and needed to find an E911 solution for their customers with minimal administration requirements, real-time address validation and provisioning capabilities, and on-site security desk routing and notification features. The solution also had to help their customers meet E911 legislation requirements, and be certified with Cisco. GRTI decided to partner with 911 Enable to provide E911 solutions for their customers that they could stand behind with confidence.

New Resources – Remote Location Manager and E911 Softphone Locator

June 28, 2011

Two new resources are available that provide additional information on two components of our Emergency Gateway (EGW) appliance.

Remote Location Manager Feature Brief – The Remote Location Manager (RLM) allows off-campus users to self-provision their locations in real-time, ensuring that should they need to dial 911, the call and their up-to-date location information will be sent to the appropriate Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP). The RLM is available for Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Avaya Communications Manager, and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 deployments.

E911 Softphone Locator Data Sheet – The E911 Softphone Locator (ESL) is software that allows the EGW to automatically track the location of on-campus soft phones. It also enables E911 support for many advanced unified communications features such as shared line appearance, extension mobility, concurrent logins, and shared workspaces.
