New Partner Case Study – GTRI

July 13, 2011

911 Enable often partners with VoIP/UC resellers to help them meet their customers’ E911 needs.

One of these resellers is GTRI (Global Technology Resources, Inc.), a leading network consulting firm that provides solutions for data centers, unified communications, wireless/mobility and more. GTRI works closely with their customers to help them reach their business goals, and needed to find an E911 solution for their customers with minimal administration requirements, real-time address validation and provisioning capabilities, and on-site security desk routing and notification features. The solution also had to help their customers meet E911 legislation requirements, and be certified with Cisco. GRTI decided to partner with 911 Enable to provide E911 solutions for their customers that they could stand behind with confidence.

Cisco News! UCM 8.5 Certification, Cisco ER Comparison, and Cisco Live 2011

June 28, 2011

New developments in the Cisco space!

First, 911 Enable has completed interoperability verification testing with Cisco Unified Communications Manager 8.5. This ensures that organizations using this latest version of UCM can count on 911 Enable’s Emergency Gateway for seamless E911 support – automatic IP phone tracking, security desk routing and notification, and reporting and management functions. To learn more, read the press release here.

Second, 911 Enable recently released a new white paper that compares the capabilities of Cisco Emergency Responder with 911 Enable’s Emergency Gateway. This white paper is a useful tool for organizations using Cisco UCM who are evaluating E911 management systems – it breaks down what each system can support, so organizations can make sure they select an E911 management system that meets their precise requirements. You can download the white paper here.

Finally, 911 Enable will be exhibiting in Booth 1170 at Cisco Live 2011. We’ll be showcasing our solutions for Cisco, including demonstrations of some of our ground-breaking E911 capabilities, so make sure to stop by with your questions and to say hello. This year’s show will be held July 10-14 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. To learn more and register, check out the show’s website here.

Resource Center Update

April 20, 2010

Late last week, we added two new documents to the Resource Center on our website: the Lynn University Success Story and the E911 RFP Template. Also, the Cisco and Avaya Solution Briefs have been updated with new content – be sure to check them out!

Lynn University Success Story
Lynn University is an independent non-profit university located in Boca Raton, FL. With a large campus (>120 acres) and a hybrid communications network, they were in need of an E911 solution that would ensure users could be quickly located in times of crisis, regardless of whether they were using the Siemens or Cisco PBX. This success story details the E911 issues Lynn University was facing, and how 911 Enable collaborated with their team to deliver a solution that meets their needs. Download the Success Story here.

E911 RFP Template
When you’ve been tasked with finding an E911 solution for your organization’s communication’s network, it can be difficult to know where to start. Even after doing your homework, it may be difficult to know what questions to ask prospective vendors in an RFP. To simplify this task, 911 Enable has created an E911 RFP template that you can download and modify (if required) to create an RFP that will help you determine the best E911 solution for your deployment. Download the document here.

Cost-Effective E911 Call Routing

September 3, 2009

To connect a distressed caller with the appropriate Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP), organizations with IP phone systems need an accurate and reliable call routing service. For small and medium businesses (SMBs) and Cisco deployments using Cisco Emergency Responder (CER), the largest E911 challenge they face may well be implementing a cost-effective call routing solution that also supports branch offices and work-at-home employees.

911 Enable’s Emergency Routing Service (ERS) offers an easy-to-deploy call routing solution that is cost-effective, reduces administrative burden, and supports branch offices and work-at-home employees. It provides the largest E911 coverage in the industry, includes a national ALI database which can be updated in real-time, and complies with FCC, CRTC, and NENA i2 standards. To learn how it works, see the links below:
